LAST DAY AT HAYPARK

Hi Blog World,

This is the last day, I am being a year 6, this is the last day I am going to be at Hay Park School. This day is  a very sad day because I am going from Hay Park School, to Waikowhai Intermediate. I wish that I can still stay at Hay Park School but I can't because I am not aloud. I will miss all the teachers who helped me during school. And I will my friends when they move on and me to.

ROTOROA ISLAND!

Hello 16347 Of My Blog World,

Yesterday on Tuesday I went to Rotoroa Island! At the island we learnt everything that was on the island. So Scott Class thought that we should write about our trip.

While I was walking of the boat I felt the cold breeze on my face. Our tour guide called Brian he was giving us a tour of Rotoroa island. Then went into the hall, and learned about Rotoroa island. Then we went with these other people that are tour guides.  

We had a big hike around the island, the rarest bird on the island is a takahe they only have 4 on the island they are very special to the island. I only saw one. We saw some other stuff as well.

Then we walked around the whole island and it was so HOT! And there were insects everywhere and it was disgusting! So we traveling everywhere on the island we learned but stuff and it was fun.

Then we moved on to our next activity where we used GPS, GPS means Global Positioning System. And what does it do, well what it does it is like when you are look for some on this device and it will tell you where you go.

And we had to set our GPS where to go and we had to find it on a tree.

Then we had to use these tablets to locate a footprint on the card and it would be pest footprint or an animal and we had identify it with the card that we found on a the tree. We found 3 locations, this was one of my best activities to do.

We had to another activity similar to the one that we did. We had to use binoculars for this one. We were using our GPS again. We had to find this animal in a tree and we need the binoculars because the stuffed animals were high up or deep down in a bush.

Escaping the Maze

I made a google drawing about how to get out of the maze. It is about class dojo, so this monster called mojo and there were doing a play. Then he was worried that his friends might forget the lines when they act. So mojo said PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE! Then Katie the friend got angry so she decided to quit. And then mojo was stuck in the maze. And here is my google drawing how to get out of the maze.

Hello guys I haven't seen you guys for ages. Well yesterday me and my class went swimming it was really fun. We learnt a lot's of cool moves, I had to hold my breath until the end of the pool while swimming, it was challenging for me. But I did it the constructor said that even here 5 year old's can do it so like we should be able to hole a breathe.

TOOLKITS!

Yesterday we had TOOLKITS! if you are wondering what Toolkits are let me tell you what it is. Toolkits are a work shop that people go to and they learn stuff that have to do with our learning, like we use google stuff all the time so in our class so I went to Google Forms.

Google Forms is kind of a site that you make and you put some questions on there and other people that you might know or don't even know answer the question that you set up. What I learned while I was at Google forms that how to set up the questions and sharing people my Google Form.

My second work shop was Prezi, Prezi a website to present stuff like Google presentations but better stuff. What I learned from Prezi was how to put videos on it and present them and also put photos. My third toolkit was stop motion this one was my favourite workshop. Stop motion is a app on your chrome book that you use to take photos and it will look like they are moving. I learned from stop motion was that you can upload videos while using Wevideo.

Last Week Of Dance

Today we had another dance session with our coach Emily, we were listening to the story giraffes can't dance, and after we listened to the story animals were dancing so we thought that we should copy there dancing.

We listing to some songs and danced to them and it was really fun I like dancing to the songs that we played as a class. Also I was dancing with my partner George M we like did all types of moves and dances I had fun with George dancing every where. We
did the tango and follow the leader.

Rippa Rugby Tournament!

Hello Blog World,

Yesterday we went Memorial park and we had our Rippa Rugby Tournament, we had girls a team a boys team and another boys team. Also we came 1st, but we lost one game to May Road, but then we had a rematch with may road and one by a far from trys.

I scored some trys while at Rippa Rugby there were guys teaching us how to play Rippa Rugby last year and there here this year to. And there are sponsered by Milo.

My Learning Conversation

On Monday We stared to make our learning conversations, it is the results of what we got on our reports. And on Thursday and Wednesday we had to present it in front of our parents. The 3 subject were Writing Maths and Reading.

Andrew Nicholson

Hi Blog World,

Today we met someone that competed in 3 Olympics games his name is Andrew Nicholson. He is a speed skater, He was telling what takes to be Olympian Champion all the fitness the hard work. I will tell you one interesting fact about Andrew Nicholson, he biked around the whole WORLD! insane right.

He showed us a video about his life and how life taking can be hard to be a Olympian. Also we had a quiz with him about the Olympics I got 5 out of 10 right the questions were pretty difficult for me. I had a wonderful time listing about his life and growing up. He was taking questions from us.

The Ned Show

Hello Blog World,

Today we had some guest and they are from the NED show. They are a group of people that presented some tricks to us and they were using a YO-YO, they were using the string of the YO-YO and they made the Union Jack, Eiffel Tower, and a Roller Coaster.

Also they told us what the three letters NED mean, N means never give up, E means encourage each other, and last but no least is D, D means do your best. And one of the presenters ripped this piece of tissue and she ripped and put it in her mouth and tried to stick it together and she just pulled lot's of ribbon out of her mouth for like 10 seconds. And the color of the ribbon was the rainbow colors.

Week 2 Dancing

Hi Blog World,
Today we did another session with our teacher Emily we did lot's of fun with her, we did follow the leader and other kind off stuff.

And we had to freeze and then Emily said you had to make a shape or a object my favourite one was the car we had to have 6 people to make the car.

And my other one was the star we had to have 5 people to make the star, it was so fun my favourite part was follow the leader.

Week 1 Dancing

WERE in term 3 This is my first blog post in term 3

Today we are doing a new thing for term 3 it is Dancing.

We were making our own dance it was really fun.

We had to make the first letter with our body parts and my one was a R, my partners was Nikolai & George M.

We had lot's of fun doing lot's of dances and there is one word that is the the meaning for making up dances the word is choreography it was pretty hard Cause a R letter is pretty hard to make with your body parts.

But then we had to perform Nikolai, George, And I we had do our make up dances our choreography in front of our class so we did and we did it really well.

And we had a play like moving to the Hokey Pokey dance I really like dancing to the Hokey Pokey it was my favourite part I found the Hokey Pokey dance. It was easy in my opinion because it was pretty basic moves to learn.

Week 8 Hockey

Hi Blog World,
Today we did another Hockey session with our coach MR Bryan. Today we just played a game and have fun I really like playing a game,

Today we learnt to communicate with each other and pass the ball intercept people and just have fun I really like how to sweep the ball.

The Team that won was my team it we scored 3 goals or even more I think.

Hi Blog World, Today we did some hokey, and we had a game of hockey. It was amazing today tricks and moves that we were learning, it was not hitting the ball and lifting your stick up, and don't hit the ball with your foot.
